Architecture Design
Architecture design is the first critical step in implementing successful solutions. Our System Architects are in concert with our customer design “Open System” solutions that integrate into your enterprise IT infrastructure today, and with migration strategies that will protect your investment into the future. Design considerations include interoperability in multiple vendor environments, applications that are mobile & portable, network security, fault tolerance, and network & device management.

Systems Requirements Definition
The Tacit system requirements definition process starts with a series of requirement interviews that give the customer an opportunity to formally communicate their prerequisites and bring to light any previously undiscovered needs. The collection of this data results in a System Requirements Document (SRD) and Functional Requirements Supplement (FRS) covering 17 categories of requirements that have to be addressed in any system.

System Design
The system design phase starts with the documentation of all public interfaces to the system. These include user interfaces, host interfaces, database interfaces, and any subsystem interfaces outside the control of Tacit. All information is published in an Interface Design Document (IDD) for review by the customer. It is also during the design phase that particular tools or solutions are selected. Following mutual acceptance of the IDD, Tacit develops the System Design Document (SDD). This document may be developed using flow charts, pseudo code, class diagrams and/or UML depending on the customer’s preferred methodology. The design phase culminates in a System Design Review (SDR) and each requirement is discussed with its associated solution.

Hardware Systems Design & Complex Hardware Integration
Tacit’s engineering staff has tremendous experience and skills in the areas of wireless, mobile computing, RFID and on-board computer systems. This powerful combination of engineering skills gives Tacit the capability to design hardware solutions with commercial systems and also the ability to design unique board level interfaces and communications that may be required for certain unique customer applications.

Tacit offers a complete line of implementation services and support for our customers. These include project management, application coding, wireless implementation, RFID engineering, installation and hardware configuration management (staging), all backed by a world class support team providing 24 X 7 service to our customers.
